MARBLEHEAD – Writing from Prompts – A Workshop with Bobbi Lerman and Kristin Drew of Scribbler’s Ink

Do you love to write? Do you think you might like to write? Did you used to love writing before your inner critic took your muse hostage? No matter if you are an aspiring or a seasoned writer, one rule is the same for us all; you need to put pen to paper and make time to write.
Join us for a session of practice writing where you will write in response to prompts designed to awaken your lost or hibernating creative voice. No matter where you are in your writing process, we will push your writing to new limits. Free yourself from the distractions of your everyday routine and gift yourself with time to go still and listen to your inner writing voice, while enjoying the camaraderie with fellow writers.
Free yourself from spouses, kids, dogs to walk or chores to do (at least for a couple of hours); just write. Whatever your genre, the prompts will guide you to new and undiscovered story worlds.
Positive feedback only – critique is not allowed for any of our newborn creations. At the end of the session you will come away with multiple seeds for growing scenes into full-fledged stories, or if your work-in-progress has run into a brick wall, writing to prompts will break through your block.
A self-proclaimed “muse locator,” Bobbi Lerman has been running workshops for over fifteen years aimed at helping writers unblock and find their voice and inspiration. She founded Scribbler’s Ink (scribblersink.com), an active online community and website offering interviews with authors, writing tips, and daily prompts.
Bobbi’s writing has evolved to cover a multitude of topics, from travel writing for blogs such as Wanderlust Woman, View from the Pier and others. Today she primarily writes historical medieval romance and travel essays.
Bobbi is the author of three holiday novellas; Matchmaker Matchmaker in the Seasons Of Magic anthology, An Unexpected Match in the Season of Love anthology and her latest release, Providence in the Season of Surprises anthology.
Kristin Drew is a writer of essays, poetry, women’s fiction and romance, as well as an experienced developmental editor of fiction, non-fiction and academic works.
Her work has appeared in Muse: The Bella Online Literary Review, Exhale Literary Magazine, Still Standing and others.
Her novella Holiday on the Home Front appeared in the Seasons of Surprises anthology. She has recently completed her second novel, a contemporary romance set in Ireland.
