Tom “Satch” Kerans, the 2009 runner-up in the 92.5 The River “Rising Star” contest, is a singer, songwriter and guitarist drawing on such influences as Tom Petty, Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan and Barry and The Remains. The founder and front man of the Boston based band the Catalinas, he has opened shows for many national acts including Little Steven Van Zandt, NRBQ, Charlie Sexton and South Side Johnny and the Asbury Jukes. In fact, he opened a show for Roy Orbison four days before the legendary singer’s untimely death. Kerans, has been featured many times as the River’s Homegrown artist. As a solo performer he has released six well-received records: Elliot St. (2005); Riverboys (2008); Pieces (2011); The Elliot Chambers 15 (2014) “Wait…what?” (2015) and Snake Eyez (2016).
