Ipswich 3, Georgetown 1

From Ipswich Coach Kerri O’Connor

Ipswich won vs Georgetown
25-13, 25-13, 18-25, 25-13

First home game of the season was a solid win for Ipswich.  Lilly Sheridan played a strong libero position and had several long serving streaks.  Claudia Bauman also served well adding accurate passes as a defensive specialist.  Abby Stanicek and Lauren Kennedy both had several blocks and kills as they led a strong front row attack. We are learning what we need to work on each match and will work that much harder in practice towards cleaning up our errors and moving forward.

HW 3, Triton 0

25-11
25-17

From Generals Coach Jen Flynn

Lauren Flynn senior outside hitter hit .625, Cecily Szady senior middle hitter hit at .571 and sophomore Eveyln Easton outside hitter hit at .333 ( with 6 kills)
Vanessa Brown sophomore outside hitter and senior Libero Grace Lapain each had 6 digs

We play @ Masco on Monday

Our record is 3-0

Girls Soccer

Hamilton Wenham 1, Manchester-Essex 1

From Hamilton-Wenham Coach Nancy Waddell

The Generals scored in the 21st minute of the game on a penalty kick by junior midfielder Elizabeth Gasiorowski.  Eliza Campbell made a strong run into the M-E box and would have had a good chance at goal if she hadn’t been taken down, resulting in the PK.
Forty-five seconds later, M-E converted on a messy corner kick that HW didn’t clear.
Senior captain Karen Caufield made 7 saves in her first Varsity start in goal.
