MANCHESTERBYTHESEA – The Manchester-Essex Green Hornets (6-3) scored early and often in last week’s D8 opening round win over Quaboag Regional High School (7-2), 36-25. Friday at 6 p.m., coach Joe Grimes Hornets host the Old Colony RVT Cougars (8-1) with a scheduled 6 p.m. kickoff. The Hornets are the #4 seed, and the Cougars are seeded #5.
According to coach Grimes, even the younger team members have gained a lot of experience over the course of the season.
