BEVERLY – (Podcast – Photos) Jason Hyland suffered through years of addiction. A star baseball player at St. John’s Prep, Prep Hall of Fame Member, and winner of the college baseball world series MVP were athletic accomplishments that defined Hyland. However, his struggles with addiction later found that he had lost control of his life. Things changed about nine months ago when he entered treatment and began a recovery process that involved reading and writing. He has recently completed a book, “Stop Thinking Like That, No Matter What”, and in a podcast interview shares stories about his life and writing the book. The former University of Tampa star baseball player and Beverly resident has his book (Pre-Order) leading sales on several Amazon book sales categories. In the podcast interview Hyland shares how writing led to writing the book and how his has now found his mission to reach out to others to assist with addiction. In February he graduated from the Link House in Newburyport, a residential program for men dealing with addiction. He is now taking message national with the soon to be published book and public speaking events.
