St. Mary’s 15, Bishop Stang 3 – Spartans (3-2) won their 3rd straight. Olivia DiSessa (4-4, 4 RBI, HR), Ryleigh Williams (2-4, 2 RBI, HR) and Alyssa Soule (2-4, 3 RBI) led the offense while Aliza Crean-Oviedo (CG, 1 ER, 5K) pitched great again.


More High School Notes:

The Ipswich Girls Track team improved to 2-0 on the season by beating Amesbury by a score of 80-65.  For Ipswich, Stella Whitten won the 400 hurdles and 800 meters.  Alana Novello won the 100 hurdles and the 400 meters, Kameya Perron won the pole vault, Amelia Mooradd won the long jump, Una Whyte won the 200 meters and Ipswich won both the 4X100 and 4X400 relays.

The Ipswich boys fell to Amesbury by a score of 53-91.  For Ipswich, Ange Tshimbambe won the high jump and 110 hurdles, Mossimo Pinsky won the long jump and the 4X400 relay team of Aidan Baran, Joe Wertz, Reed Soininen and Peter Joss-Green also won.

Men’s Lacrosse

Endicott 20, Wentworth 9 – The No. 17/19 men’s lacrosse team defeated Wentworth, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action on Wednesday afternoon at Sweeney Field.

Guerin Favreau (Woodstock Valley, Conn.) and Nick Pagluiso (Shelton, Conn.) led the Gulls offense with four goals apiece. Pagluiso also had three assists in the contest.

Nick Graap (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) and Tommy Tyksinski (Guilderland, N.Y.) both registered three goals, while Cam Fernandez (Mendham, N.J.) potted two goals. Thomas Barker (Needham, Mass.)Jack Fiorillo (Mineola, N.Y.)Manny Marshall (Chelmsford, Mass.), and Matt Wright (Oregon City, Ore.) all added solo tallies.
