Wednesday Sports – Danvers Baseball Improves to 5-0 Beating Lynn Classical 4-2 – Local Scoreboard

NORTH SHORE – Scores and Results from the north shore.

LYNN – In a high school baseball game featured with live video streaming on MSO Today from Fraser Field in Lynn, Danvers defeated Lynn Classical 4-2. Danvers scored four runs in the 7th inning erasing a 2-0 deficit. Andrew Olszak led off the inning with a triple to left field, scored on a sacrifice fly and the Falcons followed that up with singles in the inning to take a 4-2 lead. The game was scoreless until Classical scored two runs in the home half of the sixth inning on two walks and a key two run single by Matt Lauria. Danvers starting pitcher Dean Borders picked up the win while Matt Andreas eared a save. Classical Matt Stanley took the loss, although he pitched shutout baseball for six innings. Classical (2-3) will play Lynn English on Friday morning at Fraser Field. Danvers (5-0) will play at Beverly on Friday.
