| WAKEFIELD — Chief Rick Smith and Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan report that the Wakefield Police and Massachusetts State Police are investigating after a body was found in Lake Quannapowitt this morning. |
| At approximately 8:56 a.m., police received a report of a body in the water along the Church Street side of Lake Quannapowitt. |
| Upon arrival at the scene, first responders located a deceased male. Though it is very early in the investigation, there are no obvious signs of foul play. |
| This incident remains under active investigation by the Wakefield Police Department, Massachusetts State Police, the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. |
