In North Shore sports…girls’ lacrosse…Bishop Fenwick beat Swampscott 7-6. Fenwick’s Breanna Genzale scored four goals in the game. Peabody topped Dracut 11-8 behind Arianna Simpson’s four goals and Victoria Vaz’s three goals.
In boys’ tennis, Gloucester edged Manchester Essex 3-2. The Hornets are the defending Division Four state champions. The Manchester-Essex girls tennis team opened their season with a 5-0 win over Danvers.
In pro sports, the Red Sox lost 8-1 to the Astros last night, the series continues tonight in Houston. The Celtics lost 112-102 to the Hawks last night in Atlanta. The Celts are off tonight. The Bruins will host Dallas tonight.
