Matt Williams of the Salem News is reporting today that Michelle Roach will be taking over as head coach at the Pingree girls hockey program. Roach coached for 10 years at Peabody and last season at Arlington Catholic.
The Salem News has named St. John’s Prep senior John DeAngelis as their Boys Tennis Player of the Year. DeAngelis was also the Catholic Conference MVP.
The Newburyport Daily News has chosen Newburyport High’s Michael Mohoric as their Boys Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year. The outstanding distance runner will attend and run this fall for M.I.T.
The North Shore Navigators fell to the Sanford Mariners 7-6 last night. Next up, the Nav’s play Friday at the Vermont Mountaineers.
The Red Sox return from the all-star break tomorrow at Fenway Park with a day / night doubleheader against the Rays.
