The Daily Item in Lynn will hold their spring all-star evening tonight at 6 at the Lynn Museum at 590 Washington Street. The event is open to the public and will honor local student athletes, players of the year, and coaches of the year.

The North Shore Navigators were off last night, tonight they play the Upper Valley Nighthawks in White River Junction Vermont, game time is at 6.

The Major League Baseball All-Star Game is tonight at 8 in Philadelphia. The Red Sox will return to action on Friday when they host Tampa Bay.

Heat Advisory!

The U.S. National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a heat advisory for 11AM Tuesday 7/14/26 – 8PM Wednesday 7/15/26.

While we know the harbor helps us here in Gloucester avoid some of the higher temperatures, the heat index values are still high, so make sure to stay safe when outside.

Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, and be aware that prolonged exposure to high temperatures can cause heat related illnesses.
