City of Lynn – The MBTA Lynn Improvements Program would like to advise the community of ongoing demolition work from December 4th through December 26th. Demolition crews will be working from 9pm to 5am. The scheduled demolition work will be between Lynn Station and the Parking Garage.

Lynn Police – ROAD CLOSURE: Bennett St will be closed from 7pm until 5am this week while crews work on the bridge. Please seek alternate routes.

Hamilton Police – Sgt’s Achadina and Walsh were on hand Friday night during the Community House’s tree lighting ceremony. They made sure Santa’s sleigh was parked in a secure area while he was visting with everyone.

Salem State’s Ernidia Goncalves Named MASCAC Rookie of the Week

 Ernidia Goncalves (Everett) was named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Rookie of the Week after averaging 16.3 points, 8.3 rebounds and five steals in a 1-2 for the Vikings. She had 25 points, going 8-for-19 (42.1%) from the floor with nine rebounds, three steals and three blocks in a 68-65 victory over Clark University and notched 19 points, nine rebounds, seven steals and two blocks in a 64-45 setback at Wheaton College.
