SALEM – Zero Waste Salem (formerly SalemRecycles) is pleased to announce the return of the Free Swap ‘N’ Drop to Salem Common on Saturday, June 6, 2026 from 10AM until 1PM! This is a fun, free opportunity to swap or donate usable clothing and household items, keeping them from the waste stream. Please note that the rain date for this event is Saturday, June 13 — please see greensalem.com for updates.
SWAPPING is not necessary — you may drop off, take away, or both!
* Women’s, men’s, children’s clothing & accessories
* Small household items in good, working condition (no TVs or computers)
* Reusable Bag Swap – bring your excess bags. Others may use these to take home their finds!
Bring items that you can easily carry, that others can also easily carry away!
All un-swapped items will be collected by ReSupply at the end of the event (https://resupplyapp.com/)
Drop off donations at the Common (Washington Sq. North, opposite Mall and Oliver Streets) between 9:30AM and 12:30PM. No early birds, please.
Please, no damaged/unusable textiles at this event. Instead, bring all damaged textiles in bags to any of the Bay State Textile Recovery Bins located in all Salem Public School parking lots.
