North Shore – Winter Storm Updates – Now, 1-3 inches on the north shore as the storm shifts to the “south”.

National Weather Service – Winter Storm Warnings now in effect for southern New England north and west of I-95 excluding extreme northwestern MA (winter storm watch still in effect). Winter storm watches remain in effect across southeastern MA except The Cape and Islands. Monday evening update

Wind – Tides : Both are a concern with this storm. There are also concerns for power outages caused by the falling of trees and tree limbs.

Postponements / Announcements

MIAA – The MIAA Nordic Ski Championships at Prospect Mountain are being postponed from Tuesday, February 13th to Wednesday, February 14th due to the impending storm. Also, please note the time changes; the Boys Race will start at noon and the Girls Race will start at 1:15.

Town of Danvers – The Danvers DPW has declared that a Winter Parking Ban will be in effect starting at 11:00 pm today Monday 2/12. This ban prohibits on-street parking throughout the Town at any time. This ban will remain in effect until all operations related to the coming storm are completed.Image

City of PeabodyA city-wide emergency parking ban will go into effect at midnight tonight until further notice. Please remove all parked cars from public roads to allow for safe and effective snow removal. Towing will begin at midnight. More info peabody-ma.gov.

City of Newburyport – Snow Emergency Parking Ban Begins at 3AM Tuesday 2/13/24

Due to the impending winter storm, a snow emergency will take effect at 3 a.m. tomorrow morning, Tuesday, February 13th. Parking will be prohibited on all public ways beginning at 3 a.m. The Snow Emergency Parking Ban blue lights will be activated at 3 p.m. today to make residents aware of the ban. Please be safe – the forecast is for a quick moving storm with anticipated heavy snow expected to last until Tuesday evening.

Town of Ipswich – A Parking Ban will be in effect from 7:00 AM, Tuesday, February 13th until Noon on Wednesday, February 14th.  Trash and recycling have been canceled for Tuesday, February 13th. Pick-up will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week.
