SALEM – (Video interview) Salem and Wakefield went toe to toe in a gunslinger’s shootout tonight with the Witches prevailing in overtime, 83-79. Alex Sanchez led all scorers with an eye-popping 39 points for the winners. Alex Auld was as nearly as unstoppable for the Warriors, pumping in 35 points in a game that featured 11 ties and 16 lead changes.
Salem plays Brighton next on Thursday night at Beverly High School.
