Rockport Police Department Charges Man with Child Rape

ROCKPORT — Police Chief John Horvath reports that the Rockport Police Department has arrested a man following an investigation into allegations of child rape.

BRIAN E. TUCK, AGE 59 OF ROCKPORT was arrested on Thursday and charged with:

  • Aggravated Statutory Rape
  • Indecent A&B on an intellectually disabled person
  • Indecent A&B under on a person under 14
  • Rape of a Child under sixteen by force (3 Counts)
  • Reckless Endangerment of a Child

The Rockport Police Department initiated an investigation into allegations of alleged incidents occurring between 2013-2015 by TUCK on a child who was known to him.

“This case shows a profoundly disturbing pattern of abuse and betrayal of trust,” Chief Horvath said. “We want to acknowledge and thank District Attorney Tucker and his office and Rockport Police Sergeant Daniel Mahoney for their efforts in this investigation.”

TUCK was arraigned Friday at Gloucester District Court, where he was ordered held without bail and ordered to have no contact with the victim or the victim’s family. He is due back in Gloucester District Court on April 12.
