WEST NEWBURY (Podcast) The #9 Pentucket girls basketball team has advanced to the round of 16 in the MIAA D3 tournament following their win this week over #24 Pope Francis (47-41) Pentucket was led by in scoring by sophomore Amelia Crowe (22-points) and Ava DeBurro (9-points). Up next for the Panthers will be #8 Dover Sherborn, the team that eliminated Saugus from the tournament (60-34). As of this posting it is expected that the two teams will play Tuesday at Dover Sherborn. You can click on the brackets for any late updates on Tuesday’s game or other D3 teams.
