MIDDLETON – (Podcast) Essex County Sheriff Kevin Coppinger is seeking re-election and running for the Democratic nomination for the sheriff’s office. The Massachusetts Primary will be held Tuesday September 6th. and there are no Republican candidates. Coppinger is completing his first six-year term and in the podcast he shares updates on programs and services that he has implemented since becoming sheriff. Some of the topics discussed include: Substance abuse and mental health services, community supports for exiting inmates, and community-based programming to support the needs of residents in Essex County.
