Newburyport Police Seek Missing Person

NEWBURYPORT — City Marshal Mark Murray reports that the Newburyport Police Department is actively searching for STEVEN ST CYR, who has been missing since Tuesday, Feb. 21, and is seeking the public’s help in determining his whereabouts.

On Feb. 21 at approximately 8:50 p.m., Newburyport Police were notified of a missing person. ST CYR’s girlfriend reported that he had not come home from work, which was unusual behavior.

Police have been in contact with ST CYR’s known friends, relatives and co-workers but have been unable to locate or get in contact with him.

ST CYR is a 39-year-old white male, who is described as 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds, with brown hair, brown eyes and a slender build.

On Feb. 23, at approximately 4 p.m., Newburyport Police were notified that ST CYR’s vehicle was located in Amherst County Virginia in a parking lot on the Blue Ridge Parkway, but all search efforts thus far have been unsuccessful in locating him. Newburyport Police are working with local law enforcement to continue to search for ST CYR.
