Weather – National Weather Service – [Today] A sunny & warm afternoon is on tap for the region, but with very comfortable humidity levels. Afternoon high temps will be in the middle to upper 80s in most locations, but a few degrees cooler along the immediate coast. Winds will be rather light.

Lynn Police – 1st Division officers took another illegally possessed gun off of the streets.

Danvers DPW – Construction for a water main replacement project will soon begin on Cabot Rd. (from Chestnut St. to Exeter St.) and Amherst St. to improve the service and reliability of the municipal water distribution systems. The project will involve installation of new water mains, fire hydrants, and valves on Cabot Rd. and Amherst St. by the Town’s Contractor R&D Site Development, LLC. of Groveland, Ma.

Town of Manchester-by-the-Sea DPW will be painting lines on Friday, July 15 from 7 AM to 1 PM in the parking lot behind Town Hall. The parking lot will be closed to vehicles during this time period
