“Ipswich came out with intensity and gave a perfect effort from the start of the game and to its finish.  The conditions were difficult with driving rain, wind and cold temperatures but we had a goal in mind and that was to beat North Andover.  After all, no one can remember back that far to the year when we may have defeated them.  It has been at least 7+ years.   We were ready for them this year and we did it on our brand new home turf field.  Julia Glavin led the offensive end with 7 goals which she carefully maneuvered around N Andovers zone defense.  Chloe Rogers and Kelsey Daly used their speed to control many of the loose ball pickups and transitioned that ball cleanly up the field.  Annie Gillis is a new starting freshman who is a key player to watch for this season – she used her speed in transitions and off the draw and placed 3 smart shots in the back of the net.  And Emily Martineau had an amazing game in goal making 15 saves and cleared the ball with excellent calm and control.”
