North Shore Sports Desk: Hamilton-Wenham AD, Gary on Golf, Summer Baseball, and Performance of the Week All on Tap

North Shore Sports Desk: This week, we catch up with Craig Genualdo, athletics director of Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School. Craig is going into his 11th year as AD, and he’s got a lot to celebrate: two state titles, in particular, last school year for the Hamilton-Wenham girls tennis team and Hamilton-Wenham girls soccer team, led by coaches Joe Maher and Nancy Waddell, respectively.
Craig chats with us about a lot of topics, including supporting the wholesome experience for student-athletes and how to handle situations when players feel they aren’t getting the playing time they deserve.
We also have Gary Larrabee’s North Shore golf report, including an update on Swampscott native Aidan Emmerich who is competing in the 104th Massachusetts Junior Amateur.
And we catch up with Mike Levine, manager of the Beverly/Salem American Legion baseball team, whose team came up short in the Massachusetts state tournament after winning the states and the Northeast Regionals last year.
Our Super Sub Shop Super Performance of the Week is Masconomet’s Sam Brockelman, who earned All-Northeastern Conference, Eastern Mass. all-star and all-state accolades in addition to being named to the United Soccer Coaches High School Scholar All-American team.
