New Boys Basketball Coach at Beverly High School – Matt Karakoudas Takes Over – Turned Around Pope John’s Program

BEVERLY – (Radio) Beverly High School Athletic Director Dan Keefe recently announced that Matt Karakoudas, MattKarakoudas has been named the new head boys basketball coach at the school. He will be taking over for Scott Lewis who stepped down earlier this Spring. Karakoudas most recently was the head coach at Pope John High School in Everett and has been an assistant coach at Peabody and St. Mary’s in Lynn. Karakoudas took Pope John to the MIAA D4 North Final in 2016. He played his high school basketball at St. Mary’s in Lynn and played at Salem State. Karakoudas, 33 years old, lives in Lynn with his wife Gail,  daughters Ariana 6, and Lexi 2
