Local College Hockey NCAA Pairings Released Today

Salem State will travel to Norwich to take on the Cadets, who are nationally-ranked No. 1, in the opening round of the 2017 NCAA Division III Men’s Ice Hockey Tournament as the NCAA Committee announced the field of 12 teams on Monday.

The Vikings, who won their second straight Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship (MASCAC) will face the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) champions, who are riding a 21-game unbeaten streak. The first round game will take place at Kreitzberg Arena in Northfield, Vt. on March 11th at 7:00 PM. The winner will advance to the quarterfinals to face either Oswego State or Hamilton.

The Endicott men’s ice hockey team will play at Hobart in their opening round NCAA game on March 11th at 7 p.m.

The Endicott men’s basketball team and the No. 6 Middlebury College Panthers will square off in a 2017 NCAA DIII Tournament’s Sweet 16 matchup on Friday, March 10 at 7:30 p.m. inside Pepin Gymnasium.
