WINCHESTER – Marblehead boys basketball defeated Winchester 70-61 in an opening round MIAA D2 North playoff game. The Magicians got a 30 point performance from Derek Marino. Other Marblehead scoring leaders included Dewey Millett (12), Dan Doherty (12), Seamus Keaney (10). Millett also had 9 rebounds. Patrick Grassey led Winchester with 25 points. Marblehead will meet North Andover next, winners Monday night against Salem. Marblehead led 38-31 at the half.
