LYNN MAN PLEADS NOT GUILTY TO MURDER

 

LYNN – Edwin Flores, 24, of Lynn pleaded not guilty today in Lynn District Court to murder for the July 11, 2016, shooting death of Philip Russo, 24, of Lynn.

Judge Richard Mori ordered Flores held without bail, without prejudice, and continued his case until September 8 for probable cause hearing.

Flores’ co-defendant, Michael Tate, 28, of Lynn, pleaded not guilty to murder at his arraignment on July 15, and was also held without bail, without prejudice.  He is scheduled for a probable cause hearing in Lynn District Court on August 17.

Essex Assistant District Attorney Alexander Grimes represented the Commonwealth at today’s arraignment.  The case will be prosecuted by Essex Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Kirshenbaum.  Flores is represented by Attorney John Apruzzese.
