MARBLEHEAD – (Videos) Marblehead continued its unbeaten season (9-0) with a 41-26 win over a Gloucester (7-2) team that kept getting up off the mat after getting knocked down time and again. The Magicians were led by the passing of senior QB Drew Gally (12 for 15 for 215 yards) who fired three touchdown passes and ran for another, and the running of senior RB Jaason Lopez who scored 2 touchdowns.
Marblehead broke out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back, building a lead of 34-6 in the third, before Gloucester scored 3 of the next 4 touchdowns.
Christian Sanfilippo (31 carries, 199 yards rushing) scored three tds for Gloucester, and Ollie Emerson found the end zone on a 35 yd pass from Nate Young with 1:25 left in the game.
Other Marblehead tds were by Andy Clough (55 yd pass from Gally); Derek Marino (62 yd pass from Gally); and Harry Craig (23 yd from Gally).
