NORTH READING – (Radio & Video) North Reading running back Matt McCarthy scored three touchdowns (18) and rushed for approximately 350 yards. His touchdown runs were 5 yards, 35 yards, and 56 yards. Danvers quarterback Dean Borders threw for two touchdown passes Tajh Coakley (45 yards) and to Kieren Moriarty (43 yards). The game was tied at 14-14 at the half. North Reading quarterback Kyle Bythrow a 61 touchdown pass to Robert Donahue. Hornet’s senior Bobby O’Donnell had a very strong game on both the offensive and defensive line as well as kicking and punting.The Danvers offense and defense suffered a major blow when senior running back Matt Andreas was forced to leave the game with an injury in the second quarter and was not able to return to the game. North Reading will meet Marblehead next weekend for the Division 2A North Title game at a neutral site.
