LYNN – Beverly (5-2) beat Lynn Classical (1-6) 28-22 at Manning Field in Lynn Friday night. Beverly quarterback Kevin Morency scored two first half touchdowns (2 yards & 1 yard) and threw a 40 yard touchdown pass to Sam Abate. In the second half Kyle Chouinard rushed for Beverly’s winning touchdown to take a lead over Classical with 3:40 to play in the game. Lynn Classical quarterback Matt Lauria rushed for two touchdowns (33 yards & 17 yards). Marcus Rivera scored Classical’s first touchdown (3 yards). Beverly led at the half 21-7. Classical did take a 22-21 lead with 5:57 to play on Lauria’s second touchdown followed up with a Marcus Rivera 2 point conversion rush.
