DANVERS – (Radio) The Peabody boys basketball team opened the 2017-18 season with a 55-36 win at Danvers. The Tanners (1-0) were led by a 15 point off the bench performance from Avian Hernandez. Jake Irvine added 11 points for Peabody. Ted Bettencourt led the Falcons (0-3) with 8 points. Peabody led 12-7 at the end of the first quarter, 29-16 at the half. Peabody will host Malden on Thursday night while Danvers will host Medford on Thursday.
