Peabody Boys Basketball Tops Beverly 66-60 – D’Amato Leads Tanners Offense – Post Game Videos – Game Broadcast

BEVERLY – (Video – Radio – Photos) The Peabody boys basketball team defeated Beverly 66-60 Tuesday night in Beverly to improve to 11-6 on the season. The loss for Beverly still leaves the team a win shy of qualifying for the MIAA state tournament. Matt D’Amato led the Tanners in scoring with 16 points with Moisse Irizarry adding 15 points. Peabody got strong defensive performances from Chibuikem Onwuogo and Junior Estrella. Beverly’s Patrick Gavin led all scorers with 21 points, Luigi Derrane added 15 points, and Hugh Calice dropped in 11 points. Peabody led by five points at the half and held the lead for most of the second half. Peabody will play at Saugus on Friday while Beverly will travel to Salem.
