HW State Tournament & Championship Season Update

HW Softball (11-10) saw their season come to a close yesterday in the First Round of the MIAA Division IV State Tournament.  The Generals fell to West Bridgewater on the road, 14-2.  Congratulations to the Generals who returned to the State Tournament and posted their third double digit win season since the reincarnation of the program in 2014. The Generals will return every player next year and will look to build upon this great season.

HW Girls Tennis (CAL Champs, 14-2) defeated Renaissance School at the Manchester Athletic Club on Friday, 5-0 in the First Round of the MIAA Division IV State Tournament.  The Generals advance and will host #16 Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion Charter School in the Sweet Sixteen Round at HWRHS today, June 2nd at 4:00 PM.

HW Boys Lacrosse (12-5) defeated Cape Cod Regional Vocational Technical School at home yesterday, 16-9 in the First Round of the MIAA Division IV State Tournament.  The Generals advance and will travel to Bourne High School (75 Waterhouse Road) to face the Canalmen in the Sweet Sixteen Round today, June 2nd at 5:00 PM.

There are no tickets being sold for this game and it will be streamed live on the subscription based NFHS Network.

HW Boys Tennis (CAL Champs, 17-1) defeated Ipswich at home yesterday, 5-0 in the Sweet Sixteen Round of the MIAA Division IV State Tournament.  The Generals advance and will host the winner of #8 Amesbury and #9 Lee in the Elite Eight Round at HWRHS later this week.  Additional game details to follow.

HW Girls Lacrosse (14-2) defeated Lunenberg at home last Friday, 25-8 in the Sweet Sixteen Round of the MIAA Division IV State Tournament.  The Generals advance and will face the Hornets of Manchester-Essex in the Elite Eight Round at HWRHS on Wednesday, June 3rd at 5:00 PM.

This is an MIAA ticketed event.  Tickets can be purchased on GoFan and are required for admission to the game. The game will be streamed live (but not On Demand) on the subscription based, NFHS Network.  We are anticipating a large crowd.  Please sit in marked seating areas in the bleachers.

HW Baseball (CAL Champs, 20-1) defeated Advanced Math & Science Academy at home yesterday, 1-0 in the First Round of the MIAA Division IV State Tournament.  The Generals advance and will host #17 Clinton in the Sweet Sixteen Round at HWRHS on Thursday, June 4th at 6:00 PM.  There are no tickets being sold for this game.
