Endicott Football Wins at Curry College 48-7, Clayton Marengi (Lynnfield) 5 TD Passes

MILTON — The No. 24 nationally ranked Endicott football team defeated Curry College, 48-7, in conference action on Saturday evening at Walter M. Katz Field.

Clayton Marengi (Lynnfield) highlighted the Gulls’ efforts with five touchdown passes (14-21, 216 yards, 0 INT).

Anthony Bracamonte (Saco, Maine) hauled in two TD catches, while Ryan Freiberger (Marblehead)Anthony Norcia (Everett), and Everett Knowlton III (Mansfield,) all found paydirt through the air once in the victory.

Hector Johnson (Worcester) also returned a blocked field goal by Nick Stinson (South Portland, Maine) 78-yards for a touchdown and Corey Monteiro (East Providence, R.I.) notched a pick-six for his first career touchdown (74-yards) to round out the scoring.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is 11-8 all-time against Curry.
  • The Gulls have won the last four meetings between the two programs.
  • Jackson DeAngelo (North Reading) compiled a team-high/career-high 11 tackles (7 solo, 4 assisted, 1 sack, 4 TFL).
  • Monteiro’s interception was the first of his career.
  • Tyler Davis (Bethel, Conn.) logged his fifth career interception, while Alfino Davis (Cranston, R.I.) called his third career pick.

No. 24 Endicott (8-0, 4-0 CCC) hosts Salve Regina on Saturday, November 5 at 12 PM. Saturday’s contest will serve as Senior Day for the Gulls.
