BEVERLY — (Photo) Endicott men’s basketball student-athletes Jalen Echevarria (Lynn) and Jeff Hill (Lynn) have earned Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) weekly awards, as announced by the league office earlier today.
Echevarria was named the CCC Player of the Week, while Hill received CCC Rookie of the Week accolades, respectively.
Last week for the Gulls (Nov. 28-Dec. 4), Echevarria helped Endicott get its CCC slate off to a strong start by picking up two conference wins.
Echevarria averaged 28.5 points per game and shot 62.2 percent from the field.
He opened the week with a 25-point performance in a 78-73 win on the road at Salve Regina.
Echevarria then posted a career-high 32 points in an 85-70 win at home against Suffolk. He hit five three-pointers in that contest and also had five assists and two steals.
This is Echevarria’s second career CCC Player of the Week award (1/27/20).
Meanwhile, Hill had back-to-back double-digit scoring performances for Endicott last week.
Hill’s week began with an 18-point performance in a 78-73 road victory over Salve Regina.
He followed that up with 16 points in an 85-70 win over Suffolk at home.
Hill averaged 17.0 points per game, while also averaging 2.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.0 steals per contest.
This is Hill’s second straight CCC Rookie of the Week award.
