Tied 2-2 in the top of the eighth, Curry scratched across the game’s eventual game-winning run on a walk, sacrifice bunt, back-to-back walks, and a hit-by-pitch. Fogarty then retired Endicott in order on a pair of fly outs and a strikeout looking to lock up the game one victory.

Endicott forced extra innings in the sixth as Michael Casciano (Somers, Conn.) notched a game-tying single to center that scored Michael DeDonato (Chelmsford, Mass.) from third base with two outs.

The Gulls responded in game two behind shutdown pitching efforts from Joseph Oriola (Sandwich, Mass.) and Colby Morris (Newburyport, Mass.).
