Endicott Baseball Becomes First Varsity Sport in School History to Earn #1 National Ranking

BEVERLY – The Endicott baseball team has been ranked No. 1 overall in the latest D3baseball.com Top-25 poll (Week 4). D3BASEBALL.COM POLL

Today’s announcement marks the first time an Endicott varsity program has earned a No. 1 national ranking in school history.

The previous school record was No. 2, set by the men’s ice hockey program and matched by the baseball team earlier this year.

Endicott also is the first Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) school to be ranked No. 1 nationally in any sport since the league was established in 1984.

The Gulls achieved both milestones thanks to a program-best 10-0 start to the 2024 campaign.

Entering games today, Endicott ranks first among all NCAA D3 programs in earned run average (1.94), third in hits per nine innings (6.72), fourth in walks plus hits per innings (WHIP, 1.13), and sixth in strikeout-to-walk ratio (3.33).

No. 1 Endicott (10-0) is currently playing Wisconsin-Stevens Point in Davenport, Florida as part of its annual spring break trip. (Photo Credit – Chris Lyons ’22)
