For their exploits both in the classroom and on their respective playing fields, St. John’s Haylee DenhamOllie Eberth Prep football star Ollie Eberth and Lynn English High School girls soccer standout Haylee Denham have been named the male and female Moynihan Lumber Student-Athlete of the Month winners for September, respectively. 

Ollie is regarded as one of the top high school quarterbacks in all of Massachusetts, having led the Eagles to an unbeaten 5-0 mark thus far.  To date, he has completed 52 of 82 passes for 785 yards and eight touchdown passes. He has also rushed for 256 yards and two scores on 41 carries. A team captain, Ollie carries an impressive 4.4 grade point average while taking a demanding course load at St. John’s Prep.

Haylee, a senior captain and sweeper for the Bulldogs, is ranked No. 1 in her class with a 4.44 grade point average while taking all AP classes. As one of the best defenders in the Northeastern Conference, she is the most valuable player in Lynn English’s lineup. In addition, Haylee dances 10 hours per week with the North Shore Dance Academy and is a junior apprentice at Urbanity Dance in Boston. 

The North Shore Student Athlete Award is sponsored by Moynihan Lumber in conjunction with media partners: The Salem News, The Gloucester Times, The Newburyport Daily News, (Lynn) Daily Item, MSOnewsports.com and North Shore 104.9 FM. One male and one female monthly winner will be selected as Student Athlete of the Year and be honored at a luncheon in June. The yearly winners will also receive a scholarship.
