Boys Hockey Final – Marblehead 8 Lynn Jets 0 First Loss of The Year For Jets While Headers Improve To 15-0-1

SALEM – Marblehead boys hockey improved to 15-0-1 on the strength of tonight’s 8-0 win over the Lynn Jets at Salem State. This was the first loss of the year for the Jets.  The Headers broke the game wide open with 4 goals in the first five minutes of the second period, and six goals overall in the second frame.  James McCarthy led the way with three goals for Marblehead.  Other goals were scored by Owen Picariello, Danny Gieniezcko, Ridge Driscoll, Sam Cioffi, and Tim Kalinowski, who also picked up his 100th career point.

Marblehead hosts Saugus on Saturday at noon.  Lynn visits Gloucester on Saturday at 6 p.m. in a game that will decide the champion in the NEC South.
