GLOUCESTER — The Battle of Gloucester Reenactment Committee would like to share information on parking, shuttles and transportation for the reenactment events being held at Stage Fort Park in Gloucester on Saturday, June 20 and Sunday, June 21.
The Battle of Gloucester reenactment events are expected to draw similar crowds to last year’s Battle of Bunker Hill reenactment at Stage Fort Park, which gathered nearly 20,000 people. With just over two weeks to go until the Battle of Gloucester reenactment events, the organizing committee would like to share the following information so that those interested in attending can plan their trips accordingly.

ParkingParking will be available at Stage Fort Park ($35 cash/day) and throughout the city of Gloucester to accommodate all spectators for the event.

To view a map of parking locations, click here. Up-to-date satellite parking information on the day of will be communicated on the Gloucester Police Department’s Facebook page.
Shuttle ServiceFree shuttle service will be available throughout the day to bring spectators to and from the West Gloucester commuter rail station and select parking locations.
There will be no shuttle service from the lot at Stage Fort Park, Gloucester High School, or Gloucester Cinema, as these locations are within walking distance of the events.
Shuttle Bus Services from the West Gloucester Train Station will start running at 7:45 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
Shuttle service from remote parking locations will run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Public Transportation / Commuter RailThe Newburyport/Rockport line offers easy access to the West Gloucester Commuter Rail Station, which will have shuttle bus service to Stage Fort Park. Be sure to board a Rockport-bound train (not the one going to Newburyport) as the tracks split in Beverly.
The downtown Gloucester train station, which is 1.3 miles from Stage Fort Park, is also an option for commuters. However, there is no shuttle service from this station.

DrivingFrom I-95, take Rt. 128 (Yankee Division Highway), then take exit 53 to Rt. 133 and take a right onto Essex Avenue/ Rt. 133. Head straight on Essex Avenue for about 3 miles, and then take a right onto Western Avenue. Stage Fort Park will be the next left.
