Former print journalist Paul Leighton has embarked on a new venture, “The Beverly Beat,” an online medium that allows him to research and write (and, at times podcast) specifically about all things Beverly. Paul’s experience at the Beverly Times and Salem News has contributed to an institutional knowledge about the area that fuels his desire to do deep dives into Beverly events and happenings.
In the interview below, Paul explains his passion for journalism and his desire to provide stories that might not otherwise be covered.
