LYNN (Podcast) The Lynn Fire Department has been battling fires in Lynn Woods since early last weekend and in this podcast interview chief Dan Sullivan reports to MSO News that his department has made significant progress on controlling the fires. Lynn has used a drone to guide the fire fight and they have used helicopter water drops to slow the fires. Last night the Lynn Fire Department received a request from the Saugus Fire Department for drone support to battle a fire at the Breakheart Reservation. The interview features additional information on the ongoing operation.
Update: from city of Lynn – 5/17 (noon) Due to firefighting operations, the Pennybrook Road entrance to Lynn Woods will be closed to public access. At this time the northern part of Walden Pond remains closed to public access. Lynn Woods is still accessible along the Great Woods Road path.

Mass State Police Photos – Yesterday our Air Wing, Marine Unit & Dive Team supported firefighting operations at the ongoing Lynn Woods wildfire. The air crew made 24 water drops using a Bambi bucket, drawing water from Walden Pond on the Lynn-Saugus line.
