Gloucester – Water Use Restriction Now in Effect

Water Use Restrictions Began Friday, October 17
GLOUCESTER – Due to ongoing dry weather across the region, the City of Gloucester will implement precautionary water use restrictions starting Friday, October 17.
💧 Nonessential outdoor water use is limited to one day per week, before 9 a.m. or after 5 p.m.
🌸 Hand watering and drip irrigation for flowers and gardens are still allowed.
Gloucester is currently drawing from our West System (Dykes, Haskell, and Wallace Reservoirs), which is at 46% capacity. The East System (Goose Cove and Babson Reservoirs) is at 92% capacity.
While our water levels remain stable, much of the Northeast is under drought conditions, and these steps are required under state guidelines to help conserve our water supply.
