West Newbury Fire to Continue Santa’s Ride Tradition on Christmas Eve

WEST NEWBURY —  Santa Claus is once again coming to town to tour West Newbury with the help of West Newbury Fire Department staff, in collaboration with West Newbury Fire Company, this Christmas Eve.

On Tuesday, Dec. 24, starting at 3 p.m., Santa will ride through town to spread holiday cheer to West Newbury residents while collecting canned goods to support local pantries.

Canned, non-perishable items can be handed to Santa’s helpers as the group travels to various stops throughout the town. Residents are asked to bag or box up their donations prior to the arrival of the fire department.

Non-perishable items include canned fruit and vegetables, soups, boxed stuffing mix, peanut butter, jelly/jams, dried pasta, pasta sauce, baked beans, boxed potatoes, and dry cereal.

Residents and community members can follow West Newbury Fire on social media (@WestNewburyFD) to receive updates on Santa’s location as he rides around Newbury. A link will also be posted on the day of the event so residents can track Santa in real-time.

If a resident has a request for a location that is not on the list please email us at fire@westnewburysafety.org and the department will do their best to accommodate.
