WENHAM – Police Chief Kevin DiNapoli has anniybced that the Wenham Police Department is welcoming two experienced police officers who were sworn in before the Select Board on Tuesday evening.
Town Clerk Dianne K. Bucco swore in Officer David LoConte and Officer Tomasz Gorczynski on Tuesday evening at the beginning of the Select Board’s regularly scheduled meeting.
Officer LoConte will serve as a full-time police officer in the Town of Wenham. Officer LoConte is a resident of Peabody and has served as a full-time police officer for 20 years, working with Rockport Police, Boston College Police and Greenland, N.H. Police. Officer LoConte is a certified Police Motorcycle Operator, and Field Training Officer. He has received the Medal of Valor from the State of New Hampshire for his role in an officer-involved shooting in Greenland, N.H. in 2012. Officer LoConte provided medical aid to other officers while under fire during the incident in New Hampshire.
Officer Gorczynski will serve as a full-time police officer in the Town of Wenham. Officer Gorczynski is a resident of Peabody and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Salem State University. He has served with the Nahant Police Department for the past two years.
“I am pleased to welcome both of these experienced officers to the Wenham Police Department,” said Chief DiNapoli. “We were fortunate to find two experienced candidates who can contribute to public safety here in the Town of Wenham.”
