This Week in Greg Verga’s Unfinished Music Studio: Ricky Diamond Performing Live on Channel A at 3 p.m., Wednesday

From the gritty and glamorous club scene emerges Ricky Diamond. Penning his first song at age seven, Ricky honed his skills as a singer/song-writer at Full Sail University in Winter Park Florida. He worked in audio production by day while show-casing his unique cutting-edge queer stage performance by night in the Orlando club circuit.

In 2010, Ricky Diamond combined forces with Daniel Roney to create the infamous Diamond Dolls, a fierce yet grungy electronic pop duo. Upon relocating to Massachusetts the next year, Ricky linked up with long time friend, DJ/ promoter Riley “$upaUgly” Syrus to throw a weekly party at Gloucester hot spot, Dog Bar, appropriately called “What Nice!” In the summer of 2013, Ricky brought a vibrant queer scene to the North Shore with his next party, “Closet Case”.

An artist by many alter egos/aliases (Rick Dickie, Pocket Tanya, The Electric Pu$$y etc…) Ricky Diamond is the Jester of Junkie Pop!
