Wednesday Trash Update from Beverly Mayor Mike Cahill

This is Mayor Mike Cahill with a Wednesday evening trash update:

Today, Republic Services picked up regular Monday’s customers’ trash, although we are aware that they have not completed all the routes and will need to spend time tomorrow finishing the regular Monday routes. We know that all of Shingleville including Mckay St. from the golf course to Elliott St. was missed today and will be picked up tomorrow. Also, the whole Gloucester Crossing neighborhood was missed today and will be picked up tomorrow. If you live on a street not in these two neighborhoods and Republic missed your street today, please e-mail me at mayorcahill@beverlyma.gov and I will make sure your streets are on Republic’s list to collect trash tomorrow.

Republic remains more than two days behind right now, and tomorrow all regular Tuesday customers should put your trash only out before 7 AM to be collected. No recycling will be collected by Republic until further notice, so please do not put recycling at the curb. Also, no one else except regular Tuesday customers should put anything out at the curb for tomorrow.

This week, the Standley St. yard waste compost site continues to be open daily through Saturday from 9 AM – 3 PM for both recycling and yard waste dropoff. The site is located at 16 Standley St.
Thank you, All, and I hope you have a good evening.

Thanks, Marty Smith!
