The members of the Manchester Fire Department send our heartfelt thoughts and prayers to the family of Captain Andrew Porter, the Rockport Fire Department, and the entire Rockport community.
Captain Porter’s service and dedication will never be forgotten. Manchester Fire stands with Rockport Fire during this difficult time and will do everything possible to support them in the days ahead.

Salem Unified Sports
We’re thrilled that 17 of our athletes have qualified for the 2025 Unified Track & Field State Championships on May 28! We’re so excited to have our athletes represent our program (and all of Salem High) as they compete against the best Unified athletes in MA!
Winthrop Vikings
Very nice end to our Track Season at NEC’s. Thomas D’Amico places 7th in long jump. Gabe Perez, Liam Kenney, Liam Natareno, Thomas D’Amico placed 4 in the 400 relay. Aaron Armistead finished 3rd in hurdles. Nick Cappuccio finished 1st in the 200 and 2nd in the 100. Now on to states. Good luck this week
GHS Fishermen Athletics
Boys tennis advances to the round of 32, in the state tournament, with their victory over Pope Francis. Next up is a road trip to #2 seed Martha’s Vineyard. Date and time TBA.
