Wednesday Girls’ High School Soccer: Ipswich Loses, Hamilton-Wenham Ties

From Ipswich coach Dave Woods:

Ipswich lost a tough contest at home versus Pentucket Wednesday afternoon, falling 6-2. Amelia Mooradd, a freshman, scored her first varsity goal for the Tigers on a beautiful cross from Lauren Waters in the opening minutes of the match. Carter King scored the second goal in the game’s final minute on a perfectly placed free kick from just outside the box. The Tigers next play North Reading on Saturday.

From Hamilton-Wenham coach Nancy Waddell:

HW 0, North Reading 0
The Generals had a few more shots than North Reading and earned 7 corner kicks to North Reading’s 0, but neither team could muster many quality scoring opportunities.
The Generals are now 4-0-2.  They play Pentucket at home on Saturday when they will honor their seniors on Senior Day.
