Peabody 2, Winthrop 1 – Catie Kampersal’s goal in the 2nd is the game-winner, giving the Vikings their first regular season loss in over two years. PLNR defense and Alyse Mutti (14 saves) played very well to hold off several quality Winthrop scoring chances.

St. Mary’s 5, Pope Francis 5 (Tie) St. Mary’s was down 5-1 in the 3rd period – Vanessa Hall had a pair of goals to spark the comeback.
Women’s College Basketball

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — The Endicott women’s basketball team knocked off Kalamazoo by a score of 68-43 on Wednesday afternoon in the opening game of the Florida Sunshine Shootout.
Sarah Dempsey (Windham, N.H.) recorded season-highs of 28 points (11-18 FG, 2-2 3PT), 15 rebounds (10 defensive, five offensive), four blocks, and three steals in her 29 minutes of play. She was also a game-high +25 in plus/minus.
Emma Shinney (Wakefield) was the only other Gull to record double figures in scoring, as she notched 19 points (8-16 FG, 1-2 3PT) to pair with her four rebounds and three assists on the afternoon.
Alyssa Garabedian (Cheshire) contributed a solid all-around effort from the floor, tallying seven points (2-4 FG, 1-2 3 PT) along with three rebounds, a steal, a block, and an assist in 17 minutes of action.
Endicott (3-5) faces Principia on Friday for a 2:00 PM tipoff.
