Manchester-by-the-sea

DPW will begin Pleasant Street water main work on Monday, August 12. Work will be conducted Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 3:30 PM and is expected to be completed late fall 2025.

Traffic Impacts:

Work will start on the Pine Street end and work towards School Street. Traffic will primarily be one way on alternating sides. However, expect road closures and detours at times. Follow the direction of the Police detail on site and allow extra time to get where you need to go.

Registration Open for 2024 Citizens Academy

Citizens Academy is back for its fifth year! Registration is now open and applications are due by August 16.

Citizens Academy is a 10-session program, beginning on September 12, that provides an up-close view of local government. Participants will take a deep dive into all aspects of their Town government through a variety of classes and interactive activities. The academy is open to Danvers residents who are 16 years of age by July 1, 2024. However, consideration also will be given to applicants who work but don’t live in Danvers.
