Watertown Eliminates Swampscott 31-27 – Lead Changes – Post Game Videos –

SWAMPSCOTT (Video) In the MIAA Division 5 North playoff game Watertown defeated Swampcott 31-27 at Blocksidge Field. Watertown star running back Mange Camara scored the game’s first touchdown on an 18 yard run in the first quarter. Swampscott would then score the next three touchdowns. A 20 yard pass from Colin Frary to Isaiah Bascon (7-7), Frary a 9 yard pass to Dom Codisopti (14-7), Frary’s 53 yard pass to Jake McIntire (21-7). Watertown running back  Matt Muldrew brought the Raiders claser on a 10 yard TD run(21-14) Connor Kennelly closed out the first half with a 32 yard field goal. Halftime score- Swampscott 21 Watertown 17.

In the second half Matt Muldrew scored on a 39 yard run (24-21) With no time left in the third quarter Swampscott quarterback Colin Frary hit a 17 yard TD pass to Isaiah Bascon, point after kick was blocked (27-24 Big Blue lead) Watertown’s game winning score was an 86 yard pass from Nick McDermott to John Korte. Kennelly was perfect on point after kicks (4-4)  Watertown will play at Somerville in the next round of the playoffs Friday night. Swampscott came close to mounting a late comeback with a drive that ended with a failed end zone pass for the lead with seconds remaining.
